Emmett Ellis was arrested after Scottsville Accident

State Trooper fired as suspect approached his car

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, November 27 at around 8:20 PM in Scottsville New York. Emmett Ellis was driving the wrong way on the highway when he seriously injured a pedestrian. According to Police Ellis pulled into the town's service area then intentionally struck the unidentified victim. The suspect then approached the car of a state trooper who began firing on Mr. Ellis‘s vehicle. Ellis was apprehended 20 minutes later after fleeing the scene. He was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, one count of reckless endangerment in the second-degree and one count of assault in the third degree; the condition of the pedestrian was not immediately released to the public.
