Young woman dies after rear-end collision

A tragic accident occurred on September 4 in Jasper, Texas, when 22-year-old Emily Trela was killed in a two-vehicle accident. According to DPS, Trela was driving west on State Highway 63 around 6:30 p.m. when she attempted to turn onto County Road 168 and was struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pickup. She was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital, where she died. The other driver was uninjured. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
