A tragic wildfire broke out on Wednesday August 31 in Barrett Junction, California. Two people have been critically injured in a wildfire near state Route 94 in the Barrett Junction area, roughly three miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Cal Fire. More than 300 firefighters continue to work the fire that blackened over 4,000 acres, threatening back-country homes, leveling at least one structure, prompting road closures and forcing evacuations.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the victims.
