Trudy Slanger was tragically killed in an accident with a wrong-way driver on State Route 525 near 148th Street Southwest when a car traveling southbound in the northbound lanes struck Slanger’s vehicle head-on. The driver of the vehicle that struck Slanger, 37-year-old Robert Rowland, was a suspect in a kidnapping case and was being pursued by police at the time of the crash. Sadly, Slanger died at the scene. Rowland is facing charges of kidnapping, first-degree domestic violence assault and second-degree murder.
