Tonya Stonkey Arrested After Redding, CA Accident

Pedestrian struck near Lake Boulevard and Oasis Road

A tragic accident occurred on December 24 in north Redding, California, when a pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle around Christmas Eve. The driver, 50-year-old Tonya Stonkey, was allegedly under the influence of prescription medication. The pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Stonkey was booked into Shasta County Jail on charges of DUI causing bodily injury. Authorities are investigating.
