Three-Year-Old Damien Legassick Killed In Pekin, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on March 31st in Pekin, Illinois. Three-year-old Damien Legassick sadly died after being struck by a tractor-trailer in the 1900 block of South 2nd Street (Route 29). Members of the Pekin Fire Department and AMT valiantly attempted life-saving measures on the boy, but Legassick was pronounced dead at the scene. The Illinois State Police (ISP) is investigating the crash.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
