Semaj Lejai Williams was one of four teenagers tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash off of Interstate 95. A state trooper was monitoring traffic speed when he clocked a speeding Kia. The trooper attempted to catch up to the speeding car but did not initiate a pursuit. The driver attempted to exit at Exit 93 and lost control of the vehicle. It went off the road and crashed into several trees. All four occupants of the Kia died in the crash. One of the victims, a passenger, was identified as Williams. The highway patrol's Collision Reconstruction Unit is assisting in the investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
