Sandra Sanchez was tragically killed in a single-vehicle accident on Ke De Ka Road when a vehicle left the road. The 19-year-old driver went onto the shoulder at a curve, attempted to correct the vehicle, but continued off the road and hit a utility pole near the front passenger side. Sanchez was first taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora and later to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where she died. The accident remains under investigation.
