Perla Vasquez Killed In El Paso, TX Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on December 16 in El Paso, Texas. Perla Vasquez died when she was struck by a hit-and-run motorist on the eastbound side of Interstate 10. A Dodge Charger sustained a flat tire and stopped along the center median outside of the flow of traffic when a Ford Mustang attempted to swerve around an Acura that was helping to alert people to the Charger, entered the median, and struck the Charger and three pedestrians. After impact, the Mustang returned to the roadway, collided with a Volkswagen Jetta, and fled eastbound on I-10. The Mustang eventually became disabled and the driver ran on foot. One of the victims, Perla Vasquez, was tragically declared deceased at the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 915-832-4400 or leave an anonymous tip at 915-566-8477.
