Payton Wade Injured In Milan, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 14 in Milan, Illinois. Rock Island High School freshman Payton Wade was severely injured on U.S. Highway 67 when she struck while walking. Wade sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital to receive emergency care. Wade’s mother, Alexa Anderson, said the teen suffered multiple injuries and is in a coma. The family has launched a GoFundMe page to support the teen on her long road to recovery. Milan Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
