Woman dies in hit-and-run pedestrian accident

A tragic accident occurred on August 7 in Houston, Texas, when Otilia Corona was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident. According to the Houston Police Department, Corona was crossing Collingsworth Street at Maury Street outside a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle shortly before 10 a.m. The driver fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was possibly dark-colored. Anyone with information is urged to contact police. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
