Siblings were traveling in car rear-ended by commercial van on Interstate 69

The boys parents sustained non-life threatening injuries

Tragic accident that occured on Saturday December 12 in Cleveland Texas. Teenagers Neal Kumar, and Ravi Kumar were tragically killed when the vehicle that they were traveling in with their parents was rear-ended by a commercial van. The boys father, David Kumar was stopped in traffic on Interstate 69 when his Toyota was struck by 28-year-old Cory Messer. Messer was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash in a commercial van owned by Gulf Coast Fiber Services.
Sadly, Neal Kumar, was killed in the collision and his brother Ravi Kumar, was taken to HCA Hospital in Cleveland, where he was sadly pronounced dead. David Kumar and his wife both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of these young victims.
