Posted: 3 years ago
A pastor was killed and two other people injured in a Texas church shooting Sunday morning . The shooting occurred at Starrville Methodist Church. The incident occurred when 62 year old Pastor Mark McWilliams found 21-year-old Mytrez Woolen hiding in the bathroom. After the pastor ordered the suspect to lay on the floor he became distracted while talking to his wife. This allowed Woolen the opportunity to lunge at McWilliams, taking his gun from his hand and shooting him. Woolen also allegedly shot a churchgoer in the back and shoulder while the man was running from him. The man’s condition was not immediately made available. The suspect who was later apprehended after stealing McWilliams pick up truck faces charges of captial murder. Wollen was also a suspect in two drive-by shootings in the city of Marshall. He’s being held at Smith County Jail.
