Michael Young Killed In Sumter, SC Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on May 10 in Sumter, South Carolina. Michael Young was struck and killed by a patrol vehicle before dawn along U.S. 521. A 2015 Dodge Charger registered with Sumter County, traveling north on the highway, collided with a pedestrian heading east. Tragically, the pedestrian, identified as 34-year-old Michael Young died at the scene. An investigation remains underway. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
