Tragic accident that occurred on August 24 in Cashmere, Washington. Melinda I. Smith was fatally injured after being hit by a BNSF Railway train near Division Street and Mission Avenue. Sadly, Smith died at the scene. An investigation into the crash is underway to determine what led to the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
