Marvin Pineda Arrested in Canoga Park, CA Accident

A tragic accident occurred on May 2 in Canoga Park, California, when a man in his 60s was fatally struck by a vehicle. The incident happened around 1:10 a.m. on Sherman Way just east of Independence Avenue when a Mercedes-Benz traveling east hit the pedestrian. The victim died at the scene. The driver, 29-year-old Marvin Edgardo Pineda of Northridge, fled the scene but later returned while detectives were present. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
