A tragic accident occurred on July 10 in Salida, California, when Luis Mercado-Ulloa allegedly caused a fatal DUI hit-and-run crash. Around 3:41 a.m., Mercado-Ulloa reportedly ran a stop sign at Toomes and Covert Roads, striking a Toyota and killing its 67-year-old driver. He fled the scene but was found a mile away. He faces charges of felony DUI, hit-and-run, and vehicular manslaughter. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim's family.
