Liliana Romero Castro was injured in a crash along U.S. Highway 101 near the Sol Duc Hot Springs Road. A 43-year-old driver was traveling eastbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle and, in the process, crashed head-on into a third car. The debris from the first collision struck the vehicle that the 43-year-old driver was trying to pass initially. 49-year-old Liliana Romero Castro was injured in the wreck. Unsafe passing is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
