Tragic accident that occurred on October 15 in Haywood, North Carolina. Laura Haberneck lost her life when she was struck by a motorist while crossing the U.S. Route 19. She was hit by a pickup truck driven by 68-year-old William T. Mayes. Haberneck succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital.. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
