Kody Newman Killed In Freeport, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 30 in Freeport, Illinois. Kody Newman was tragically struck and killed by a car near Business 20 West and West Lily Creek Road. The female driver was believed to be detained. Newman was part of a local metal band Backhand Betrayal and the group will dedicate an upcoming album to his memory. Pending the investigation, the driver that struck Newman could be arrested.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
