Julia Georgiadis was tragically killed when her Toyota pick up truck was involved in a collision with a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office K-9 vehicle. The crash occurred when Georgiadis was attempting to make a left turn from Shelly Street onto U.S. 52, and was struck by the deputy’s 2019 Chevy Tahoe. The Deputy was traveling with its emergency equipment activated. Sadly, Georgiadis died on the way to Trident Medical Center. The accident remains under investigation by both the Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
