Joseph Odiwo was injured, and his dog killed, in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash at the Safari Food Store. Mr. Odiwo was leaving the store when the vehicle approached and struck him and his dog. Mr. Odiwo was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Sadly, his dog was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported that a man and woman in the vehicle had been shot while driving on Crestwood Road prior to the crash.
