Tragic accident that occurred on March 23 in Bakersfield, California. Jesus Nelson Jr. lost his life when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while crossing South Chester Avenue, just south of M Street. The vehicle's driver fled after the collision. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities continue to search for the suspect. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
