Jeffrey Jones Arrested In Utica, NY Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on December 25th in Utica, New York. Jeffrey Jones has been arrested and charged after hitting, and killing, a pedestrian with his SUV early Christmas morning on Court and Lincoln Avenue. According to the Utica Police Department, Jones was driving his Honda SUV on Court Street when he hit a male pedestrian and fled the scene. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.   The UPD said that Jones was later located when they found the license plate of his SUV at the scene. Officers retrieved the identifying information and went to the location where they found the SUV with front end and windshield damage. The Suspect was then arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
