Jasmine Gibson suffered serious injuries at the hands of a hit-and-run driver who struck her twice on Highway 20. A light-colored or white SUV hit Jasmine flinging her several feet from the vehicle. The driver then ran over the victim a second time as she was lying in the roadway. Gibson’s injuries include facial fractures, a broken arm, internal bleeding, cracked kneecaps, and a broken pelvic bone. She underwent a three-part surgery at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. A fundraiser has been set up to help cover Gibson’s medical expenses. Hampton police are searching for the fugitive driver.
