James Ritter Killed In Danville, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on July 21 in Danville, Illinois. James Ritter lost his life when he was hit by a vehicle along N. Gilbert Street in the 100 block of N. Gilbert Street. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. No additional information was immediately available as state police continue to reconstruct the accident. Ritter was an army veteran. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
