James Cornish was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on Sconondoa Road. Cornish was a passenger in a Subaru when the driver lost control, crossed over the center of the roadway, and struck a tree stump which caused the vehicle to go airborne and strike several smaller trees and a fence line. Cornish was airlifted to SUNY Upstate Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
