Rear end accident on the Long Island Expressway

Tragic accident that occurred on January 28 in Dix Hills, New York. Irene Weitz was seriously injured when the car that she was a passenger in was rear-ended by an alleged drunk driver on the Long Island Expressway . According to Suffolk County Police, Weitz was traveling in a Nissan Sentra that was struck from behind by a Mercedes-Benz. Weitz was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
