Howard Coleman II Killed In Wilmington, NC Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on October 1 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Howard Coleman II died in a single-vehicle accident involving an alleged drunken driver on UNCW's campus. 19-year-old Nicholas Pohlman was recklessly driving a Jeep Wrangler in a grassy section of a parking lot along South College Road when he lost control and crashed. 20-year-old passenger Coleman tragically died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities arrested Pohlman and charged him with involuntary manslaughter, impaired driving, and driving while less than 21 years of age after consuming alcohol. The incident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
