Long Beach High School senior struck on Cantiague Lane

Tragic accident that occurred on January 12 in Hicksville, New York. Gerrin Hagen sadly lost his life after being hit by an SUV while riding a skateboard on Cantiague Lane. A Long Beach High School senior and student at Nassau BOCES, he was struck by a 2012 Honda Pilot. The Ice hockey star was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Friday. The SUV driver, whose identity was not released, remained at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
