Elsa Lopez-Villa Killed In Bellmead, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on April 8 in Bellmead, Texas. Elsa Lopez-Villa was one of two people who lost their lives when their vehicle was hit by an alleged drunken driver that was stopped on the shoulder of Highway 84. 26-year-old Isaias Martinez Resendez, slammed into the Honda. The impact caused both vehicles to travel down an embankment. One of the deceased victims was identified as Elsa Lopez-Villa. Troopers observed multiple signs of intoxication and arrested Resendez. After being medically cleared from the hospital, he was booked into McLennan County Jail. The accident remains under investigation by DPS.
