Edgar Garcia was fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident along Farm-to-Market 1925 when a Chevrolet Malibu failed to maintain control of the vehicle, traveled across the roadway, struck a mailbox, and slammed into a fence. After witnessing the Malibu crash, a Chevrolet Tahoe stopped and was hit by an eastbound Chevrolet Camaro. A passenger in the Malibu, 49-year-old Edgar, was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. The driver of the Camaro as well as four people traveling in the Tahoe were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the Malibu ran from the scene on foot and remains unidentified.
