Donavon Diaz Injured In Bakersfield, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on November 10 in Bakersfield, California. Donavon Diaz was injured in a solo-vehicle crash along Chester Avenue when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the area of Mount Vernon and Gateway avenues. The driver refused to stop and, instead, led the officers on a pursuit. The driver, later identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as 18-year-old Donavon Diaz lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn. Five passengers – all teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18 – were transported to area hospitals with moderate injuries. An investigation is being led by Bakersfield police.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
