Brian Parker Killed In Red Oak, IA Accident

Pedestrian struck along US Highway 34

Tragic accident that occurred on May 12th in Red Oak, Iowa.  Brian Parker lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle while working in a construction zone along U.S. Highway 34. According to deputies, Shawn Dale Kammerer was operating a vehicle when he blew through a stop sign and hit Parker who was directing traffic at the entryway of a construction zone along the highway. Parker was rushed to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital where he sadly succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the accident.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
