With many of those wounded in the attack critically injured, the death toll is expected to rise, the authorities said. The accident occurred on Wednesday, shortly after a plane carrying a newly formed Yemeni Cabinet arrived from Saudi Arabia. No one on the government plane was hurt.The source of the blast remains unknown and no group immediately claimed an attack on the airport in the southern city.Videos recorded by journalists who were present to cover the cabinet members’ arrival showed dignitaries lined up to greet the ministers when an explosion went off, sending white smoke across the tarmac and people running in all directions.
