Bicyclist hospitalized in serious condition

A tragic accident occurred on September 9 in Donna, Texas, when a bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run. Police said 47-year-old Andres Deantes Sr. of Progreso struck the bicyclist at Victoria Road and Business Highway 83 before fleeing. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition. Deantes was later arrested with community support. Authorities are investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
