Pedestrian Amanda Harris was killed on Woods Road when a vehicle crossed both lanes and left the roadway, striking her. The Floyd County Coroner's Office later identified the victim as 41-year-old Amanda. A bag was found in the drivers vehicle that investigators believe to be crystal meth. The driver was arrested and is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, first-degree homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and distracted driving.
