Tragic accident that occurred on January 25 in Placentia, California. Alberto Vicente Lopez was tragically killed in an accident near Orangethorpe Avenue and South Melrose Street. The man and his step daughter were killed in the wreck. The Placentia Police Department says they were occupants in a church van struck by a Honda Civic driven by a 24-year-old Santa Ana man. Authorities say the man ran a red light and crashed into the van. Police took the man into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. A family member said the victims were returning from a bible study. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
