A tragic accident occurred on April 16 in Oceanside, California, when Valentin Hernandez was arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash near Mission Avenue and Mesa Drive. Police said a Toyota Tacoma struck a 76-year-old pedestrian, who died at the scene. Hernandez allegedly fled but was later taken into custody and charged with DUI and hit-and-run causing death. The investigation is ongoing.
