Navin Kumar Arrested After Oakdale, CA Accident

Driver charged after seriously injuring two passengers

A tragic accident occurred on November 27 in Oakdale, California, when 52-year-old Navin Sharma Kumar crossed into oncoming traffic on River Road around 12:47 a.m. and struck an eastbound Kia SUV. Two passengers in the Kia were seriously injured and taken to Memorial Medical Center, while the 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. Kumar fled the scene but was later arrested at a residence in Modesto on suspicion of felony DUI, felony hit-and-run, and driving with a suspended license.
