Two pedestrians struck by suspected drunk driver; one dies, second hospitalized

A tragic accident occurred on February 28 in Newport Beach, California, when Jesus Alvarez was arrested after his Chevrolet Corvette struck two pedestrians near Newport Boulevard and 24th Street around 2 a.m. One victim died from injuries, while the second was hospitalized.
