A tragic accident occurred on June 11 in Clovis, California, when Francis Portillo allegedly struck a pedestrian with a Toyota Camry at Jefferson and Brookhaven avenues. Authorities said the victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital. Portillo allegedly fled after being told to remain at the scene but was later stopped and arrested.
