Three inmates injured in crash involving alleged impaired driver

A tragic accident occurred on June 11 in Bakersfield, California, when Bernice Bravo Menzo allegedly ran a red light at Chester Avenue and 24th Street while driving at an excessive speed. Authorities said the crash injured a transport van driver and three inmates, all of whom were taken to a hospital for treatment. Menzo was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
