Woman dies after police chase crash on Panama Lane

A tragic accident occurred in Bakersfield, California, when Amy Denise Menefee was struck by a GMC truck near East Panama Lane and Tejon Highway. Authorities said the driver, 18-year-old Ramiro Gutierrez-Ramos, was fleeing officers and allegedly ran a stop sign before hitting Menefee. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Gutierrez-Ramos was arrested on multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter. The investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
