94-Year-Old Fernando Velazquez Dies in Windsor, CA Accident

Elderly Santa Rosa man fatally struck while riding bicycle

A tragic accident on September 20 near Windsor took the life of 94-year-old Fernando Velazquez of Santa Rosa. CHP said a northbound Range Rover veered off Old Redwood Highway and struck him on the shoulder. Velazquez later died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. A fundraiser described him as a father, grandfather, and friend. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
