92-Year-Old Wayne Blanchette Killed In Antioch, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on September 1 in Antioch, Illinois. 92-year-old Wayne Blanchette was tragically struck and killed by a train on his way to an Antioch High School football game. Wayne Blanchette was hit on Route 173 by a Metra NCS line train at the Canadian Pacific railroad crossing. Blanchette died as a result of blunt force injuries. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
