9-Year-Old Jacobe Bayley Killed In Cherokee, SC Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on August 3 in Cherokee, South Carolina. 9-year-old Jacobe Bayley died days after the vehicle he was a passenger in collided with another vehicle on S.C. 5. The traffic signals at the intersection with U.S. Highway 29 were not functioning due to a power outage when the Kia and a 2021 Cadillac collided. The boy, Jacobe, was transported to Cherokee Medical Center and then airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The accident remains under investigation.
