Wrong-way crash caused by DUI suspect

A tragic accident occurred on July 31 in Antelope Valley, California, when 9-year-old Israel Mendoza was killed in a wrong-way crash. The incident happened on 200th Street East when Christian Powell, 23, crossed into the wrong lane and struck a Honda head-on. Mendoza and a 14-year-old girl were passengers. Powell was arrested for DUI. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
