81-Year-Old Rafael Delgado Killed in Richmond, CA Accident

Elderly man dies in hit-and-run collision

A tragic accident occurred on August 23 in Richmond, California, when 81-year-old Rafael Delgado was killed in a hit-and-run accident. According to police, Delgado was crossing 23rd Street at Hellings Avenue in a marked crosswalk around 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver fled after Delgado was thrown from the vehicle. A 66-year-old suspect was later arrested and faces felony charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
