8-Year-Old Matthew Lawrence Injured In Jacksonville, FL Accident

Hit and run driver strikes young boy

Tragic accident that occurred on February 26th in Jacksonville, Florida.  Eight-year-old Matthew Lawrence was injured in a hit-and-run accident while riding his bike home from Duval Charter School on Lambing Road. The driver of the car fled the scene after the collision. Young Matthew was taken to UF Health with a fractured arm and several cuts and bruises.  Lawrence is now recovering at home and has surgery this week to put pins in his arm. We send our thoughts and prayers to the young victim.
